MY LEARNING STORY!

This term in science my favourite experiment was the skittle experiment. That was my favourite experiment because you get to to eat it!!! On my first day at science I was afraid, and my heart was beating as fast as a engine because I thought that we would mix different chemicals that would explode. It turns out that we just did simple experiments.

The second experiment I liked doing was the dirty water experiment because we learned how to turn dirty water to clean water. My group didn’t exactly turn the dirty water into a cleaner water but we tried. One thing I didn't like about the experiment was the SMELL! It was terrible, it had coffee beans and mud. That is the things I know that was in there.

I can work successfully with others by listening to their ideas and not starting an argument with them.

I am a curious learner because I ask too many questions about the work we are working on.

Global Community and the pollution

Explain what community you have joined? I have joined the Global Community group because I want to help the world from the pollution.

Explain why this group is your passion? This is my passion because there is lots of people might be needing my help.

Explain one idea your interested in? Helping the world from pollution because it will kill some of the animals and affecting the climate change.

How do you think you will achieve this idea? I think I can achieve this idea by putting the rubbish in the right bin and also telling people to not litter and  put their rubbish in the right bin.

OUR PERFORMANCE PLAN

Hello readers this week in drama, we had to pick a group, and the teacher gave us a little card that we had to follow so that we could create our performance. The cards said that we had to decide a character's emotion from your piece, so we picked happy. We danced and sang the Happy Song where you sing "when your happy and you know it clap your hands". We haven't done our performance and we haven't finished practising .

CIP ART WORK PLAN

Today in our CIP class we had some discussion about recycling and art works. We had to vote for an artwork that represents Hornby High School the options were, a big H sign  on front of the school made of plastic, second option was Birds + native animals related to HHS/Hornby Community, last option was messages to the community. The class chose the Birds + native animals related to HHS/Hornby Community.

For me I think we should make an enormous kiwi made out of, empty water bottles, yarn for the feathers, paint, straws for the beak, papers and buttons for the eyes.

Community Project

In your own words, what is the project? The project is collecting rubbish and creating an art using it.

What is the purpose? The purpose is keeping the environment clean and safe and recycling.

How much rubbish do you think we are going to collect? Why do you think that? I think we will collect lots of rubbish because I think that we will create an art that will need lots of rubbish like a tree.

What colours do you think we will see the most? Why? I think that we will see transparent colour because there are mostly water bottles and cookie wraps.

What type of art would you like to create? I would like to create an art that is made out of plastic and I would like to make any animals.
