How to play Ki o Rahi

Hello readers today I

'm gonna tell you about what we are doing in our Hurumanu PE and how to play it. So in P.E we were learning how to play a game called Ki o Rahi.

Here is the instructions of
how you play Ki o Rahi

How to play Ki o Rahi

You need 14 people to play a game of Kiorahi and in each teams (there are 2 teams) you need 7 people. The 2 teams will have a name and a role, the name of the teams are Taniwha  and Kioma. When you are in the Kioma team you have to score by touching pou/s or poles and then running towards the Kaitiaki (Guardians) and making a try by tapping the ball on the ground inside the Pawero. Now when you are in Taniwha you can score by hitting the Tupu with the ball. The Kioma will have the Kaitiaki to protect the Tupu from Taniwha. When you reached half time your team will switch roles, like the Taniwha will switch to a Kioma and the Kioma will change into the Taniwha.

Hope you understand this little instruction of how you play Ki o Rahi.
THANK YOU!

Revolution Tour

This week on Tuesday we were all grouped in the auditorium for an event called Revolution Tour. Reggie Dalos in the Revolution Tour showed all of us how he was good at playing his saxophone, and some of the members in the Revolution Tour also showed their amazing talents like singing and also dancing. The favourite part I liked was when Reggie called 5 people up on the stage, one was athletic, shy, smart, funny and one was a teacher, my teacher Miss Tozer. The game was called "Throw your friend under the bus" because when Reggie asked everyone in the auditorium who was shy, smart, athletic, comedian and a teacher we all pointed on a certain person. In the game they only needed to answer questions that Reggie asks, it was fun because we just got to watch and listen to them. It was also fun because Reggie made some funny jokes.

Hurumanu Music STORY!

Kia Ora readers today this week in Hurumanu Music we were told to write a story about the song that we had made.

LO: Create a piece of writing that describes a place or setting inspired by your song.

At first the music played with a calming sound of guitar and piano, and suddenly the music faded away, I froze while my heart was beating as fast as it could when the music appeared again it made an unexpected spooky sound. My imagination took me to a place where I was standing between a forest and a Haunted Castle. I heard the spooky sound again I pushed my hands onto my ears and when I took it off the headphones fell on the ground.

Music Hurumanu Making our own music!

Hello readers this week in Hurumanu Music we had to make a music from an app called Garage Band. The instruments we included was a guitar,  root guitar and drums. Cody, Josh and I made the song here is the link to take you to our music, hope you like it.

Buddha's temple story

On Tuesday this week we had an amazing trip to the buddha’s temple, with the BH, TS and SH and also our class TZ. We rode 2 bus, 2 class on the other bush and the other 2 class is on the other one. On the bus I was with my friend Tevita and the whole TZ and BH class, when we arrived at the Buddha’s Temple we saw lots of staff that was making a pathway for us. We were told to line up and the 2 people on front of the line were given a post that says group 1 and group 2, the students from Tz, Bh, Sh and Ts were separated to group 1 and group 2.

When we were grouped, the group 1 which I was in got into an activity, we made a bracelet called Lotus Origami that was made out of paper and rubber band. After that we went outside again and we were given 2 cookies and water, the cookie tasted yummy because it was sweet but for the other people it tasted disgusting. We were also given a small tattoo with a 3G 4G meaning on it. When group 1 and group 2 met outside we were all grouped together and was told to go inside to a big room, we had to wet a little buddha statue, and we also meditated, we had to close our eyes and it also felt very relaxing.

It was Christmas, the most wonderful time of the year. The town was covered in white snow it was whiter than the clouds in the sky, the people blew as hard as they could on their trumpets and made a very joyful sound. Up in the hills was a fat jolly man wearing red clothes and was standing proudly while he watched the children open up their Christmas present. I felt like I was on the happiest place in the world.

Hurumanu Music QUESTIONS!

Hello readers today this week in Hurumanu Music the teacher asked us some questions about the Pink Shirt day and what good friends will do.

What sorts of things makes a good friend? Helping each other and also being honest to each other and not lying.

What do the people who care about us do? They might cheer you up when you feel sad or they will make some jokes to make you laugh.

How do we know they've got our back? They support us or they will help us when there is something you don't understand.

What don't they do? They don't support you or sometimes they might be mean to you.

What do you think being an 'outstander' means? Someone that is brave enough to help people, like when someone is getting bullied.

How did the Pink Shirt boys show that they were good friends? They showed that they were good friends when they bought 50 pink shirts and emailed the people they knew to support the people that is getting bullied.

Answering questions from the teacher about ASMR

Hello readers today in Music Hurumanu we were talking about ARMS and what it means, we also watched an ASMR video of a girl eating a sticky food, the noise of her eating was really weird and made me feel sick.

Have you heard of ASMR before? Yes I've heard of ASMR before and I've also seen some videos of it.

What did you feel when you listened to the ASMR music? I feel satisfied when I heard him whisper close to the mic and I also liked when he was playing the guitar.

Is this something you'd like to try making? Yes so that I can disgust some people when I make an ASMR while I eat.
