HAIKU POEM

Kia Ora, last week we had been making and learning stuff about Haiku Poems. Our activity was to make a haiku poem of our own and then recording yourself reading it out using the tool screencastify.

A haiku is a type of Japanese poem it has a syllable structure of 5,7,5 most people use the haiku poem to describe about the nature.

This was an easy and fun task to do the only thing I didn't like was reading it out using screencastify and posting it into your blog, but I enjoyed making a haiku poem.

Kia Ora this week we had to choose an activity from the "Blogging Choice Activities" in google document. The activity that liked is making an acrostic poem using your own name. This is the acrostic poem that I made!!

RICEBALL CHALLENGE

Kia Ora, today I will be sharing what I have done in "Food Tech". On Friday last week we had a challenge, the challenge was called "The Rice ball challenge" you basically needed to make your own rice ball without any help from a teacher. My friend and I competed to see which rice ball was going to be the best. We started making the rice ball and kept on looking at the recepie and the steps on how to make one. After we finished making the rice ball it was finally time to eat it. First of all I added soy sauce to the rice ball so it would be a bit salty, I took a big bite and I thought that it was very yummy I could taste the ingredients but I tasted more of the chicken and the carrot the rice ball was really yummy with the soy sauce I poured in. 

ATHLETICS DAY REFLECTION

Kia Ora, in this blog post I will tell you some things and what happened in Athletics Day, I will tell you by answering the questions written by our PE teacher.

How did you like athletics day? I liked athletics day because I like doing sports,

What did you do? the events I chose for athletics were High Jump, Long Jump, 400m sprint, 100m sprint and Shotput.
Were you happy with your results? I was happy with some results like when I came first in 400m and 100m sprint and came second in highjump.

What did you learn? I learnt a little bit of stuff when I did long jump. Because I didn't know that you need to jump starting from a line.

What could be done differently? Nothing really

Kia Ora, today I will tell show you my goal setting for this Term. My goal setting was made using a table in Google Docs.  We made this so that we can just look at this and remember what were the goals we set for this term. To improve my work I will try to study more at home. Do you do school work at home??!!

Today I will tell you what my class and I are doing for Homeroom Time. Our teacher told us to make a DLO of the year 8 graduate profile, we needed to find a tool that could help us do our DLO. The tool that Tevita and I ended up pick was Kahoot, we made a kahoot and added some questions for the students in my class to answer.
