Who was the main character being smart to? He was being smart to Steve Jackson.
Why was he being smart to Steve Jackson? He was being smart to Steve Jackson because he was giving little kids a hard time.

What did he say he would try out for first when he was older? He said he can run really fast that maybe he can try it out for the Olympics.


Where did he hide from the bullies? He hid behind a hedge when he heard that the bullies was up the road behind him.

What did he say he was going to do second when he was older? He said the he was a pretty good climber that maybe he would a mountaineer.

Who came out to see where he was? His mum and his sister came out to see where he was.

What could he hear while he was up the tree? He heard sirens when he was up the tree.

What did he say he was going to be third when he grew up? He wondered if he could be a policeman when he grow up

What is a hydraulic platform? What was it used for? Hydraulic platform is used for to save people that is on a high building.

At the end of the story… who did he want to be when he grew up and why didn’t he think it was the best time to tell dad? Cory wanted to be a fire brigade he didn’t think it was the bet time to tell dad because he did a dangerous thing.

Uncle Andy bought the singlet from an army surplus store. He said “Oh, I will sing of the singlet,” cried Uncle Andy. The singlet made a useful Pouch to carry new laid eggs. “Oh I will sing of the singlet,” Uncle Andy cries. But there's only one small problem it does attract the flies.

9. What happened to the man on the street? The old street guy died when Crystal turned switched off he’s ghetto blaster.

Harakeke is a native plant to New Zealand.

  1. What is the school that is spoken about in the text? The school that was spoken in the text is Punaruku School in Whangaruru Harbour in Northland. ✔️
2. Where is the school? The Punaruku School is at Whangaruru Harbour in Northland. ✔️

3. For years what have people been dumping and where?  For years people have been dumping rusty, old cars in the bush.✔️

4. What did the local schools and community groups hold? The local schools held a special environmental education day, organised through the Northland Regional Council, to discuss the problem and think about possible solutions.

What were the ideas that the students came up with?  The students in Punaruku School came up with some ideas of why people have been dumping rusty old cars on the bushes: People dump wrecked cars to get them out of the way.Out Of sight, out of mind! It costs $120 to get a car towed to the wreckers,  it’s cheaper just to dump it in. 6. What were the effects on dumping having on the environment?  Then the student discussed what effects the dumping had on the environment.  The effects on dumping cars in the environment are, the oil can seep out and find its way into streams, and rivers, harming fish and plant life.✔️

8. What did the principal of the school and some senior students do? The principal of the punaruku school and some of the students went around the local area with spray cans and sprayed a large X on the cars that people wanted taken away.✔️

9. What reporter came and interviewed some of the students? A TV3 reporter interviewed some of the students in Punaruku School.✔️

10. What is next for the students of the school? The students in Punaruku School now have a lot more information about the problem of dumped cars and what they do to the environment.✔️
