 Kia Ora,

Today I will show you a paragraph I made about my role, for the paragraph that I wrote I am being a grouch here it is:

My Role: I am being a grouch. 30 years old and don’t know

my parents. The play is set in my old mossy house.

I just sit outside my old house drinking my cup of coffee. I hate all these people who are enjoying this warm weather, and I hate it when they keep saying this is fine weather!  (3 days later) Ahhh, finally the crummy weather and what a beautiful sight it is when people are moaning about this cold and rainy weather. THIS IS MY CUP OF MUD. Hey you! What do you think you’re singing!? Stop it! Stop singing that song rain rain go away. This is what you call a fine day! Now scram! Ah yes a crying child's face what a beautiful sight it is.

PARIHAKA HISTORY OMGGG

 Kia Ora,

Today I will talk about and share a few information I've learnt about the invasion of Parihaka. The invasion of Parihaka started in 5th of November 1881 about 1600 troops invaded. When the troops came the Maori people didn't attack or anything instead they made 500 loaves of bread to share with the soldiers arrived.

OMY ITS QUESTIONS YOWWWW

Kia Ora,

Today I will be answering a few questions asked by my teacher, here are the questions:

1. What is a Solar System? What is the Milky Way an example of? The solar system is the sun and the planets that orbit the sun. The milky way is the galaxy that contains our solar system.

2. What is a Star? Describe a Nebula. Stars are ball of gasses they are mostly helium and hydrogen. The nebula is a giant cloud of dust and gas in space.

3. How do stars die? Stars will die when they have burned all of its hydrogen fuel then it expands to become a red giant. After puffing its outer layers the start will collapse and die.

4. Is there an up or down in space? Apparently there is no up or down in space.

5. How can stars be used to Navigate? Stars can be used to navigate by looking for the Polaris, the North Star to go North. Use Polaris to find your latitude in the Norther Hemisphere. Then seek help from Orion to find south and now you just follow the stars for direction

GOLD MINING GOLD RUSH LESH GOW

Kia Ora,

Today I will show you some of the discoveries I've learned from gold mining.

This are the things I've learned from articles and the main book that we have read.

First Gold Rush
Gabriel Read was the first who had found gold near the Tuapeka River; he gained fame and provincial government bonuses when he found gold. Thousands of diggers as well as other people like business people and entertainers went all the way to Gabriels Gully hoping to find gold and instantly get rich.

Chinese Miners
In 1866 there were less than 200 Chinese miners in Otago, but by April 1868 the Chinese population had rapidly increased to 1270. BY 1881 the Chinese population reached its peak with just under 5000 miners.

Otago
Otago’s first gold rush was in 1861, after Gabriel Read found gold in what would be called Gabriels Gully. Thousands of diggers, later including men from China, went there to make their fortune.

Here is a really good article about Chinese miners how they helped build New Zealand and how discrimination drove them away. https://www.scmp.com/lifestyle/article/2102620/how-chinese-gold-miners-helped-build-new-zealand-and-how-discrimination
