PEE BEEEEEP TEST

Malo e lelei,

Today I will be telling you more about what I have been doing in PE for this term. The main activities we have been doing in PE are measuring stuff like finding the length and width of a court we've been measuring a lot of stuff since this is a combination of Maths and PE. The other main thing we've been doing is the beep test, at the start of PE we did the beep test to see what level we are on. When we had the result of our beep test the next thing we did was try to improve and beat our level that we were on. We did 12 exercise circuit to improve our legs and try to beat our level. The 12 circuit exercise is where you have 12 exercises and you gotta do all of them inside 30seconds.

AND TODAY IS OUR FINAL DAY OF PE AND WE ARE GOING TO DO THE BEEP TEST AGAIN AND SEE IF WE'VE IMPROVED.

SOLAR OVENS

Malo e lelei,

Today I will be telling you about a solar oven that my team and I made in science. To make the solar oven we had a few materials and this materials are tin foil, cardboard, some tape and if you want you can use a few skewers to stick the materials onto each other. Firstly we had to make a shape using the cardboard then after that we had to cover it with tinfoil using tape. Then we went outside because it was sunny and it was a perfect weather to test our solar oven. We put marshmallows and used a magnifying glass to burn it. Some solar oven worked and some didn't

TONGA LANGUAGE WEEK SLIDE

 Kia Ora,

Today I will be showing you a slideshow I made with stuff connected to Tonga like a few common words to use their national anthem and one of the famous islands in Tonga. I made this because this week is Tongan language week and I wanted to do a slide about Tonga even if it doesn't have a lot of stuff in it.

P.E CLASSSSSS!!! LETSS GOO

Kia Ora,

Today I will tell you most of the thing I've been doing for the past few weeks on PE. First of all we've done a beep test to see what level we are on and we will be trying to improve them in the future. The beep test is where you run from an end to the other but you only run when you hear a beep. If you don't get to the other end in time you will be out.

Once we've done the beep test the next day we tried improving for the future so we will have more stamina and speed to stay longer on the court and try to beat the level we were once on. To improve our stamina and speed we did a few exercises, we have done push ups, burpees, sit ups, squats and other 8 exercises. For each one we had to them for 30 seconds and try to get as many as we can inside 30 seconds. Since its pe and maths we've done few maths activities like find the perimeter of the gym.

THIS IS ONE OF THE RECORD OF ONE OF THE ACTIVITES I'VE MADE:

WW1 IN HORNBY HIGH SCHOOL

 Kia Ora.

Today I will share a little bit of information I've learnt about women in WW1. I will also tell you about the DLO I made using kahoot, making this kahoot was pretty easy I just had to ask a question and put wrong answers. HERE IS A SOURCE I'VE USED TO LEARN ABOUT WOMEN IN WW1 https://www.iwm.org.uk/history/12-things-you-didnt-know-about-women-in-the-first-world-war

NZ WOMEN IN WW1

During WW1 women have been doing a lot of jobs. Since over 6million men enlisted to go and fight overseas women had to fill in those jobs. Some women even worked to make bombs! Women were already working at their old jobs so after the men left they had to do even more jobs. Women in WW1 also bravely worked in dangerous working conditions, some of the dangerous jobs they did was working with TNT’s that could explode and expose poison.
